The Pumphouse Kilkenny is a spacious, friendly and happening pub in the heart of Kilkenny city, across the road from the renowned Watergate Theatre. The Pumphouse attracts both a loyal local crowd who come in all shapes and sizes and have personalities you just can’t resist getting to know, and many visitors from Ireland and Abroad from all walks of life who enjoy its lively and welcoming atmosphere. The split-level ground floor has two bars – the top bar with its traditional layout and fascinating artefacts, and the lower bar with its more contemporary feel. Live music is a huge part of the life of this pub including the thirteen year running traditional music sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in the summer season.
