The Ballyconnell White Water Course begins at Lock 2 Ballyconnell. Access is at the canoe steps just above the lock; paddle along the canal, get out at the step upstream of the weir and back in below the weir. The exhilarating white water course will then test the skills of proficient paddlers, coming to a peaceful stop, back below Lock 2… Get in upstream of the lock and do it all over again!

Grade 2 (Difficult)
The Ballyconnell White Water Course is of Grade 2 difficulty and as such is only suitable for experienced paddlers or groups under qualified supervision. Participants are reminded that white water kayaking and canoeing are activities which can be dangerous and may result in personal injury or death. Participants must be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
