Lady Helen at Mount Juliet
The Lady Helen at Mount Juliet is an multi awarding restaurant that boasts 3 AA rosettes and 1 michelin star.
Candles, crisp linen, shining silver and gleaming glassware set the scene for the theatrical gourmet experience to come. Ken Harker knows how to put on a show. Take your seat among these opulent surroundings and let the performance begin. Start with a glass of bubbles. Browse a menu featuring the best of local and seasonal foods. We can’t tell you what to choose, but we can say it will be wonderful. The best of Irish is in focus – Black Angus beef from Monaghan. Seasonal game. Wexford fish and shellfish. Home grown herbs and salads from the estate gardens.
Lady Helen McCalmont, the previous owner of Mount Juliet, was a superb hostess, who oversaw the gardens and kitchens with a kindly but firm hand. We believe she would have been delighted to know we have maintained her standards, and that the restaurant bearing her name also bears a Michelin Star, along with three AA Rosettes.
Our internationally-themed menu consists of dishes made using local ingredients, including many from our own kitchen garden, herb garden and farm. The atmosphere of opulence within the Lady Helen Restaurant complements the pastoral views out over the pastures to the River Nore, racing its way south to Inistioge.
